Hi, I'd be interested in your views on what is the best free anti-virus software. I've tried AVG and Avast and still managed to get infected, so am thinking of trying Comodo? Any views?
If you are talking about Avast, you can get a free key for one year from avast with full updates.
No I was talking about ESET Smart Security....I tried Avast and still got a virus with it installed.Comment

Re: Best Free Anti-Virus Software?
I found over time that the free editions are good for telling you that a virus is ON your computer, but its not very good for actually removing it. If a virus that is powerful gets on, there is no way of stopping it with a free one usually, and I have tried many. However, ever since I got a mcafee subscription, I have not had a problem and it has blocked a few virus' from entering my system already. I wonder if its a deliberate ploy by the companies to make you buy their products.Comment
