That's right. Cccam select best line ( with lowest ecm) for you, especially new versions of cccam. I use 2 c-lines and 20 n-lines without problems.

        I personally recommend to use 2 c-lines
1st is "working" and 2nd "backup"
Not use c-lines from the same server.

          No my friend,
I insist that the CCcam reads the lines from the top to the bottom.
At the same time the emu check the ecm time and search the faster line that can give answer to the request of the specific caid. But the search begins from the fist line, then the second...etc
Please an expert to confirm what I say

Cccam send requests to first server. If this server answers fast enough, it sends the following requests to this (first) server untill it doesn't answer fast enough. Then it changes to the next. Condition is (of course) that the server is connected to a card with the used caid.

Re: How many lines of cccam are better, how many active.

System selection has been improved in three releases:

              2.0.10
-improved system selection (based on distance). Note that prios from prio file overrule this and might give worse results
-fixed aborting lengthy request when switching channels
              -fixed low audio pid detection

              2.0.9
              -improved system selection
              -fixed irdeto chid selection
              -dm800 detection
              -fixed minor memleak

              2.0.8
-fixed n2 emu freezes with static (non-openssl) version
-improved system selection (making prio file mostly obsolete)

Latest (2.0.10) states "based on distance" but it's clear that it's a combination of distance (hops) and ecm time.
It's also logical that clines are scanned from top of ccc*am.cfg (as kalpikos correctly pointed out)

Re: How many lines of cccam are better, how many active.

                hi,

                let me propose this

                let's assume 10 bouquets and 5 servers

                bouquets: b0, b1, ... b9
                server: s0, s1, .. s5

where each server distributes his own bouquet set as

                s. : t. : b.
                -- - -- - --
                s0 : 0.10 : b0 b1 b2 . . . . . . .
                s1 : 0.12 : . . b2 b3 b4 . . . . .
                s2 : 0.15 : . . . . . b5 b6 b7 . .
                s3 : 0.20 : b0 b1 b2 b3 b4 b5 b6 b7 b8 b9
                s4 : 0.40 : b0 b1 . . . . . . . .

where t. is the time response of server s.

the problem comes out like select the minimumn number of server to cover my needs,

if my need is bouquets set

b0: then s0 is the fastest and the spare is s3, i avoid s4
b2: then s0 is the fastest and the spare is s1
b2,b4: then s1 covers all of them, and the spare is s0+s3

                ...

that is one way to optimize server and client

                hope this helps

Re: How many lines of cccam are better, how many active.

Hello. I have read some cccam turorials and it says:

The configuration lines can be written in any order. There is no standard order to respect.
Indeed, when started, CCcam reads the first character of each line and executes the request.
Some people say that in the latest version of cccam (from 2.1.3) there is no need of .prio file.

                  regards

what you are saying makes total sense and i also think that it starts reading from the top so better but the best lines first. but even if we are right it will not make so much different cause if the first line is not working it will go to the second and if it work it will stay there until a problem happen. so a small delay at the beginning is all that will have.

When you change channels, the decoder continues to read the cline since the last server used, or start reading again from the first cline?

In my opinion, the decoder starts reading again from the first cline and then go to the bottom, to the second line, third line etc until find the best line for the requested caid and of course with the lowest ecm time.

I use hadu cccam plugin configured to send ECM to all connected servers and gets DCW from server which responses the fastest. That gives me no freezes at all but I have to put few severs into hadu.ini every day.

                            That plugin works on dm500s?

According to the the logic of software design (every software, in general), this is the assumption that has more sense.
