1 good line is always better than a few not so good lines. At the moment I only have 2 lines in my .cfg file, 1 for sly u.k. and my satlover server 2 line for european packages, but I have had up to 7 lines without any problems.

If you use several lines, for example one has better SK*, another one some other channels, it's better to configure every single line with further syntax at the end, so that every card will be used for specific channels.

The less, the better ... one is optimum, as bokkie correctly pointed out.

I agree but that depends of the "quality" of the cline/server. That's why "exclusive" clines are better. When the server is public the problems of stability become bigger.

            hi

you should be happy with 3 clines

            5 as a max

more does not make much senses ...

I think that using 3-5 lines is the best.
You can use more that 5 or 10 lines depends on how fast is your receiver,
but you will slow the zapping or increase the ecm time.

the cline make sense if they are different servers, otherwise question the same tabs

Yes 2-5 max. if you have a good server then even 1 will do the job.

if you have more than 5 lines and a receiver with little memory (like DM500s) when you do too much zapping the receiver starts to freeze and must be restarted.

We had a similar discussion a few weeks ago. The result was that perhaps 3-4 working lines (not overloaded freelines) give the best performance.
1 or 2 very good lines and perhaps 1 or 2 lines as backup.

If you enter multiple lines, with which priorities are chosen?

                          hi,
if you have a prio file, priorities are set in that file.
If not i think cccam will search one line after the other to
find with line can open the channel you want to watch.

From my personal experience, you have to put the best lines that you have one after one starting from the strongest.
That's means, in the first place of the cccam.cfg you put the stongest, in the second place the less strong etc.
In order to find which line is better, you have to do some tests according to your personal preferences on the packets.

From what i have read and according to my experience, the order of the lines isn't important because the emu makes the management of them. What is important it's the prio files.
