Convert cccam to mgcamd?

Hi mates!

If i have a cline, can I then convert it somehow so I also can use it with mgcamd?

You can use it in MGcamd but you cannot convert it to act like a true N: line

Can't convert it, but you can use a cline in mgcamd fine.

with mgcamd you need put the info in cccamd.list, if the protocool of the server is cccam, otherwise if the protocol of the server is newcamd, you need put the info in newcamd.list.

and mgcamd don't install a cccam.list
so you have to create it self

How do I use in MGCamd?

Install mgcamd on your stb, I use mgcamd 1.35a.
Then if you want, I can help you out with a mg_cfg file, cccamd.list and newcamd.list.
What stb do you have?

on the dm500 just create a cccam.list

I would like to give mgcamd a try. What version of mgcamd do you suggest? Does anyone have the mg_cfg file configurations for dm500s to work with clines?

Untill now I used (for cs) only cccam.
What are the advantages of mgcamd compared with cccam (ver. 2.21) for the main satellites (4,8°, 13°, 19,2, and 28,2°) .

I have found mgcamd to be more stable than cccam and also the clearing of a channel is
quicker then cccam so you don't even notice it when zapping channels.

For c line you have to have camd.list file and in that you copy and paste your cline but also
mg_cfg needs to be changed slightly the G:{ 33 } need be set this way to allow for nand c
server operation.

Does mgcamd have an own webinterface as cccam has?

Then it's a real alternative to cccam and I'll start thinking about a change.
