    Re: Convert cccam to mgcamd?

Mgcam has a cache buffer so less glitchy than CCcam. I mainly use CCcam as my server is pretty much glitch free so I don't really need to change, but I also have Mgcam and Oscam configured on my stb ready to run should I need them.

Did you compare ecm times or it is just an impression ?
What version of mgcamd are you using ?

I am using mgcamd 1.38, it is more of a impression then comparing ecm but the delay in the
channel clearing channel was noticeable with cccam and not noticeable at all with mgcamd.

I also use in your receiver emulator mgcamd 1.38, in my opinion it is more stable than other emulators, though probably it's a matter of habit

I agree with you my friend

Web interface of cccam it's very nice and very usefull

For mgcamd, there is no web interface but only a log file that you need to activate it in mg_cfg, and it can be found in /var/log.
Also, you can see some info from the mgstat.info and mgshare.info in tmp folder.

                    Hello!

I have tried mgcamd 1.38 with this configs in mg_cfg in my DM500s:

I don't use priority list at all, and all working very well.
                            You don't really need it.

kalpikos, you have a dm500s, right? Can you show your mg_cfg configurations, please?

Another question: since i have inserted a cline the mgcamd is not reading the softcam.key file. What happened?

                              regards

1.35a is the usual version people use.

Then it's a real alternative to cccam and I'll start thinking about a change.

(Sorry, perhaps the answer is in another topic here, but at the moment I don't have the time for much reading)
There is not a webinterface in MGCamd, but you can activate a log file option in mg_cfg. The log file can then be found in /var/log.
