This is your post number 4 in this thread - to make a claim you should at least have some proof attached.

Anyway there are various other versions around (with or without backdoors) and also alternatives for people to use and to make up their own minds which is best for them

Well I think it's common sense not to load any software if you cannot be sure of it's source or authenticity no matter what the device.

At least thats one good thing I can say about Alshat (if you are a Spiderbox owner) you could pretty much trust their files!

Den's question was about Spiderbox which is a closed souse reciever, not open sourse. Which means it is impossible for anyone to access it.

              Re: cccam what one

As I understand the problem here ( with 2.3.0 backdoor ) is : this script in 2.3.0 is sending your cccam.cfg file to somewhere so if it is true they get your server, user name and password info. Then there is no need for thief to stay connected with your box, he can use your info for his own purpuse. But more of the servers will not allow connections from diferent IP's with same user name and password. So there is little possibility this info be truth but nowadays technology can give us a lot of unpleasant surprises
At the end : if you trust it - use it , if not - throw it away.

New programs all the time. Helped install Blackhole cccam on DM800HD clone today. Friendly interface.
                Works very well.

To answer the original question, the Spiderbox has cccam v2.1.4 built into the firmware and cannot be changed. However, it works fine with all other versions of cccam being used by the service provider.

                    Re: cccam what one

I throw the cccam 2.3.0 away because I took for me to long time to open the channles I don't know why I did't throw it away because I was conserned about the fact that there is a backdoor.

I change back to 2.0.11 and It works like a swiss clock.

Not sure I agree with this statement as they def do support the Spider still and usually release the new firmware updates before they are released on the seperate Spider forum. The latter doesn't get much activity on it.

The last Stable version of CCcam was 2.1.4 before the developers abandoned it, It just seems strange to me that after nearly a 2 year gap they come back with 2.3.0, oh yes forgot about 2.2.1 but i think this code was written by another team at the time

I agree with Knap92. I'm also very happy with the 2.1.4 on my spider. Even if I could upload a new version, I would refuse it. It works like a charm. And it will not say: that newer is always better. If it works and you're happy with it, then stay with it.
