dont think on spiderbox if you got you have no control of that, think its the version that server dishes out, thats what i always thought.

Take notice do not put the version 2.3 on your box it has a backdoor for hacking

This is a hoax my friend. Many people are using 2.3 and the world has not ended.

Just copy/pasting rumours does not help anyone.Please post your proof for us all to see...........

Yes but unlike your pc an ip stb cannot run an anti virus program or firewall so what proof have you got to say this cannot happen?

My STB goes through my router's firewall, and I've no traffic going out that shouldn't be.

It's difficult to prove something isn't happening.........If you are claiming something is true, at least post proof of why you believe it is true or better, proof of the decompiled code showing it

Copying something from another forum is not proof.

Has your router got a firewall I don't think so, you have pass words to stop wifi stealing your broadband connection, you have password for your router, to your isp, but you are bypassing all of these by going to a server, do you know what the server is sending down your isp connection I don't think so,if there is a backdoor on 2.3 cccam and you have loaded it, in the back door is a code that will it send to a designated party a invite to come and get what ever you have to offer. you have a firewall on your comp but that may not stop an entry into your computer.

Firstly I do not need to prove something isn't happening......nor do I need to claim something is true.

But however I can provide you a fact that router firewalls will not stop traffic if you have loaded and enabled software to communicate with other networks on the web.

Last of all I am not copying and pasting anything from another forum.
