leave the box turned on or not

In order to aboid freezing on my client with server nš3, is it a good idea to leave the box turned on? why?
if yes, is it enougth to leave it standby or it has to be completly turned on?

    Thank you.

It doesn't make any difference, freezing can be the result of many things.

But to help others, you could switch to a free to air channel so that you are not imposing a load on a card when you are not watching TV (if that makes sense). I always switch to a FTA channel to do this.

I usually turn it off if I am no longer watching TV, but if playing games, watching DVD etc I leave it on (but on a FTA channel).

          One more question Toni,
While the box is on stanby mode, am I conected to the server?
I can FTP my box on stanby, but I don't know if Cccam is working.

          Thanx.

I don't actually know. But give me ten mins and I will check.

It looks like it is, when I access the web interface (http://BOX_IP:16001/servers) that still lists active servers, so cccam is definitely still running.

From what I know, if the box is in standby mode then yes everything stays running including CCcam , FTP, web-access, etc... However CCcam does not request keys from the server even if you're on an encrypted channel so it does not overload it. You can verify that by looking at the numbers near latest provider shown in the CCcam webinfo at http://box-ip:16001/servers). It shows something like ***x:****** mm (nn), the mm is the number of keys requested from the server, while nn is the number of keys received, notice that neither number increase if the box is in standby mode.

If you are just client and you are, it doesnt make any diference, you can even turn off power suply and when you turn on it will conect it again.

You shuldnt turn Off just if you are sharing your card with anyone.
