when I check with iplayer speedcheck results are

streaming test 1. 944 kbps

'your connection 746kbps whic i think muct be average of the 3 tests so it looks like o2 throttle useage i am on the basic package
would this be enough for spider/protek?

Hi All

Would updating my CCCAM Firmware lower the amount of freezing I am still getting

Just pressed info on a cline channel and it states Source 2.0.11 which I assume is my CCCAM firmwear

If anyone feels this may help please advise where I can download it from and what I have to do

yes, don't know the spider, but presume it will be +/- the same as the protek ; these services take some kbs - I've no time to check, but a few weeks I posted my calculation here somewhere ; I bellieve I came to a few hundred MB/month - presumed tv + internet on 24/24 and 7/7 - so your connection will surely be ok!!

my box just the same, 2.0.11 think you cannot do anything about that, why not ask a pay-server for a test-line and see the difference, i have server for 28e, free lines here get over loaded by cheats that copy/paste all over web, see satlovers clines on other sites, post 3, an see a list of all the cheats have manage to track (hard work), only other solution for better free lines is to post more useful posts here to get your own personal line which is a big improvement, server 2 (only 100 posts)

connections, lotta members here use spider, different net providers, heard no complaints about speed, etc

cccam cannot be altered on the spiderbox thats how it comes

When you press the info button on the Spiderbox I believe that is the Cline you are getting.
The Spiderbox is supposed to be running V2.14 As said you can not change it but I do not think it would make a difference anyway.

Always try and get a server that can supply a N:line as its more stable in the spiderbox ,most servers in Verified Premium CCCAM Servers on other sites can supply N:lines even although they dont say on their post ,so just ask if they do.
From what i can gather is that its best to try and get on a new server thats starting up as most will try to get as many people on their servers as soon as they can ,which leads to freezing etc.
Right now the one iam on is almost perfect but will jump to another when my 3 months is up.
It would be really nice to be able to find a reliable one that i could stay with,they will be out there but its finding them.

lots of new spiderbox members might be unaware of this, a tip for cccam info, provided by a very good member, sataday. very useful.

If you have more than one cline entered and you want to choose a paticular one for the channel you are watching.
Press <pr, highlight the cline you want, and then press fn1.

hi guys

little suggestion/tip for your spiderbox owners ; as I've seen there are a lot of unknow special features on these boxes + remote controls. Any possibilities that one of you guys makes a short manual/tut with all this features??
Perhaps a sticky is possible?

Now there's a lot of info, but all on different places/sections/topics.

It's just an idea

@toby, ok - didn't know that - I use the search function, but have the impression a lot don't - I don't have a spiderbox anyway

this was suggested many moons ago, before you a member pan, about having stickys etc,
but there is plenty of infomation if members could only be bothered to do a forum search, besides boxes come and go, also to much work to do for staff/mods.

I have ******d for servers and there are plenty that come up, i have tried a couple of test lines, but never know if these are genuine when you pay for a line. Would it not be better to use premium line from here.

server 4 lines change every 3 days

First of all before you buy a c-line ask for a free 24 hour test of this c-line, then you can see how the things are.

As soon as you get the c-lines try to ping the server form where you get this c-lines exmpl. ping hardyhardy.dyndns.org. If you get response time greater then 70ms it is not advised to use this server for c-lines.

Second of all try to use this lines when the most users are connected, as in my expierence this is the time when the premier championchip is, because the most people connect at this time.
