Well to be honest, i like figuring out things on my own so this satellite issue started as a hobby but it can be addictive, at least for now i am settled with satlover servers but before i would spend a lot of time on ****** fishing for free servers and trying to figure out which channels they decrypt, and looking for a bulcrypt package was making things much more difficult.

So are most of the senior members on here from it field since they know most of the stuff about encryption or just gathered this information by time, reading and doing research online?
Vanbasten i have to say you are very active on the forum and with that you will learn fast. for you question on how we learned this stuff. Lets take it for my situation.

shortly: One dat my dad come home with some fancy box that he say opens all channel in the world. woaaaw i think in my head, how can this be posible. Well we pluged inn and volla it opens everything(almost). So i start by lokking on the recivere system and setting and there i foudn some menu named server setting. hmm what can this be. And there i foudn name like newcs, ccam, gshare and went straight on ****** and tryd to understand what the hell is this. Like you i over time understand something and hunted for free server but i wanted to learn more. So i started to read, read and red, ask, ask and ask. Now here i am knowing 100 % more then what i did know when i start with this and also using oscam now trying to get more experience with it and much other stuff(we need more activity on oscam section).

So here you see we all have been noobs and gradually we learn bit by bit, but remember, if you dont go for it reading asking experimaiting, etc, nobody is going to come to you and tell you all you want to learn.

Just to mention that thanks to satlover if have gathered so much information and experience on the cs field then i ever could. Thanx to satlover members and staff

    Have a nice day all

i do not know how long you have been satellite enthusiast, but in this ever changing hobby most encryptions never stay the same for very long, leave the hacking to the well in the know for without them what would we be viewing.
i know you want to learn more, like most of us, but learning can be a difficult and hardious journey.
      good luck

I think most of the senior members were newbies at some stage. Every one has to start it from the Scratch. Its like if you want to to go to university, you must start from primary and KS Levels. I have been learning since the time where there were loads and loads of analogue sats available in the arc. Didn't give it much attention at that time but at least learnt a little bit whilest being an assistant to my elder brother carrying aronud a 2.6m C band dish with him.
*I would suggets to do reading (a lot), easy on the internet and use some search tools. *Also common sense is another tool.

          hi

I think both, here there are lots of 'different' members, which really is an advantage ; Most info probably comes from 'the field' as you call it (same for me - only questions about things I don't have or can't test come sometimes from online search and reading elsewhere).

Must say - compliment for satlover in general! - here's there a very wide combination of members, discussions, boxes, ... and mostly very useful feedback.
