    Where to put what

    Hi all,

    I'm very new to this and having a bit of trouble trying to input the addresses into HADU.

    If I use the HADU config tool, which bit goes where from an address like this?

    C: cccam.satlover.com 30982 1A795B5A_2BE509F8 www.satlover.com no { 0:0:3 }

    I see boxes for server address etc and I presumed the 1A795B5A_2BE509F8 part was user/pass. Still unsure what the C: and no { 0:0:3 } parts go.

    I tried a test address which seemed to work but no luck with an address wrote in this format. I put the entire line in HADU in edit mode.. still no joy. I know that these servers may be full and that's the problem. I just wanted to verify I was putting the details in right in the first place.

    Thanks for any help or pointing me to a good tutorial

    Re: Where to put what

    I don't know your box, but normally it's something like:
    - Type of server: cccam (must be on)
    - Name or IP: cccam.s...
    - Port: 30....
    - ID: 1A79...
    - Pawword: ***.sat....
    - The C and the numbers musn't be entered.

      Thanks pan,

      I should have explained more.

      It's a windows setup running Mediaportal with MDAPI and Hadu.

      It's certainly causing problems and with quite a few things going wrong, and not really knowing what to look into first... ah well, I'll keep reading and trying other plugins and configs until I get it.

      Thanks for the reply

        try this, but use a latest line
        C: cccam.satlover.com 31080 33C1584F_ECAE0209 www.satlover.com
        server - cccam.satlover.com
        port - 31080
        ID - 33C1584F_ECAE0209
        password - www.satlover.com

        you will get a cline that looks similar to this

        C: cccam.satlover.com 31080 33C1584F_ECAE0209 www.satlover.com no {0-2-0}
        or
        C: cccam.satlover.com 31080 33C1584F_ECAE0209 www.satlover.com yes {0-2-0}

        please ignore anything on the text line after your password ie yes/no and the numbers and brackets please do not input them or your Cline will not work.

          Thanks toby,

          That explains what the info on the lines mean. I'll start and test a few in hadu and acamd as they seem to be the only ones I have any joy with on my in x64 setup.

              It only takes a minute, but it's best to test the cline before you enter it (so you're sure it's good).
              A tester you can find here: http://www.satlover.com/forum/dreamb...ester-new.html (again, with thanks @Gogoli1) or on the internet.

                Really appreciate the help.

                I've just deleted my entire setup as it was seriously messed with last night. I'm going to reinstall the lot now with madapi plus and either hadu or acamd as the plugin. Thanks for the iine tester pan, that looks like a handy prog for my growing folder. Now I should get the info put in right also.

                  Re: Where to put what

                  Well it's up and running again. I used the line checker but none of the free ones seem to work.. I did expect that as the free servers probably get a lot of use from people a lot quicker than me. At least things are moving forward.

                  I'm still unsure if I'm going to stick with Windows on this or build a linux box for it. I have some parts so I may build another test box to see which is better.

                      I've already read a lot in the short time I'm here, but didn't find if the free clines really change everyday (didn't have the time yet to check very well -and is this for all servers with free clines?).
                      Also, if not: how long do they approximately last (the other servers and premium?).

                      Thanks in advance.

                        Re: Where to put what

                        Well a day or so setting up and checking. I tested it with MDAPIplus with Acamd and Hadu. I found hadu was a bit better on HD with LAV filters installed. it's running through mediaportal server with Plus Eights version of XBMC PVR as the clients. There are a few bugs in the client software but nothing serious.

                        I had no luck at all with the free servers from here so I had to resort to a 24hr free cline. It's not the way I wanted to test it but I needed a stable line. I may build a Linux box as there seems to be a lot better software for that system.

                        Another qestion now, If I put in 4 clines in hadu, would it conect to line 1 until another tuner was needed.. then go to line 2 or does it go for all 4 at once? I'm thinking of adding another DVB S2 tuner shortly and don't want to get banned from servers.

                        EDIT: The system this was built on was Win7 x64. The reson I went for hadu was the channel change was much quicker than Acamd. Acamd seemed to pause for a second with a green screen then go to the channel. The recording on hadu seemed better also, I don't see how the plugin would change this so something elseto read up on.

                          hi

                          You can only use 1 cline at the same time from here ; for me personally free servers are working (not 100% stable, but I'm still searching for new possibilities). Auto connection to other server I don't know.

                            Re: Where to put what

                            I think I sort of found a quick fix for it pan. It looks like the cline has to be linked to the plugin for each tuner.

                            DVBS0 > PLUGIN INI/CONF> Cline address 1

                            DVBS1 > PLUGIN INI/CONF> Cline address 2

                            This way I could watch one channel and record a different one.

                            As you say though, it would be no good if both cline addresses were from the same server as the server would show multiple connections from one IP address and ban you. It seems this will work if I have addresses from different servers for each card.

                            I'm sure there is a better way but until I find it, this could be the answer.

                              I'm not sure if you may use more than one cline from different servers (suppose ok, if you mean a server from elsewhere). Using 2 clines from 'here' is certainly not allowed (please take attention to this!).

                              I only have 1 DVB-S tuner, so can't check, but anyway let us know your findings.
