Re: Admin - Suggestion to protect free c-lines

I dont agree that things are fine atm, server 3 gets overloaded really fast with these morons around as soon as the updated lines are posted they copy it to other sites and ruin it for all the members that are here. That needs to stop, if it cant be stopped it should be reduced by implementing what has been suggested in above posts, that at the very least stops some if not all from copying it to other sites. I hope satlover and his team use this suggestion or even come up with a better solution and make this a better place for the members.

I wish for the best, Thanks

Technically its impossible to protect the content because when you load the page in the web browser it's downloaded on your hard disk, you may disable Javascript or open the page with text editor, etc but yeah, disabling right click will protect the c-lines up to a point.

A automatic linked c-line when registering, certainly not a bad idea.
It must be technical possible to do this. As you have to confirm your registration receiving a email with confirmlink to the website.
After confirmation and registration completed receiving one c-line with email would be a possibility.
Same for server 4 when reaching 50 usefull posts.
Personal c-lines still is the best way to avoid posting. It's also the best way to control who's connected. This way if someone passes his personal c-line to someone else, it would be known by mr satlover.

Agreed with that it sounds good to have an automated cline produced when you have registered. All the best wishes for the forum

About the firewall static ip issue. I am sure that if a person is getting a Free Cline they could put the effort of making a Host/Redirection name and send it to the firewall Moderator. So what IP is on that Redirection gets access?

Thats all i do for non static IP's

Re: Admin - Suggestion to protect free c-lines

It's just a lot of work. If you look at the front page, there are over 800 visitors daily to the website. Trying to manage all of those would take a lot of time.

As it's set up now, if you hang around and contribute to the forum you get a personal C line. If you see the lines on other websites you are likely to visit here because the website is in the address. So satlover gets more traffic, and those who hang around get what they want.

i agree that giving cline is lot of work to do ..but putting cline in other site web , members contribute to bring spammers that can make the forum management more harder than give a cline to each one not just the CCcam server will be overloaded but the whole forum will crash if the traffic limit is exceeded !!

                          Hello Satlover

Some members write suggestion. about A automatic linked c-line when registering for example.

Share cline have been made on other sites primarily See the first of a number of members satlover. for example,
                          Now Satlover
Users active in the past 24 hours: 1849 (781 members and 1068 guests)

if Satlover forum each person is given a special account
cccam cline in order to get more then just the forum that the forum is going to record hundreds of users in the server still will exceed the capacity of.

server 1,2,3, for 1000 2000 or 3000 server for management satlover consider cline given each members.

now 1849 records as well. next time satlover members totaly 3000-4500 members. how is it work server stabil.

                          My suggestion and my opinion

mac addresses of all registered users to check. if the server is a firewall if you truly like to work more efficiently. with a special coding on the server for this process, according to the MAC addresses of the server cccam cline stable work.

Admin says if use more then One Cline for avoide blocking from servers FIREWALL.

it is possible to check if the mac address. If the server is of course the possibility to do this with...be done by the administrator

the firewall (maybe the mac address ) can be useful for people using more than one cline but wouldn't work with c/p'ers .... even if i give my mac address none will know what i'm c/p
ps: mac address can be changed
                            good luck

That's exactly how I found this forum (by finding a C line while searching the web). So the free C lines are doing their job, people are coming here.

Having the free lines doesn't really ruin anything for those of us who do hang around. It took me a while to get up to 100 posts (both the first time round and again after the big server crash), as a result I have a dedicated line. I'm on a different server to the free lines, it can be seen as a reward for staying here and contributing.

There is also a section on this forum for C lines from other websites. So we are no different from other sites with copied lines from here.

If there were a free line for everyone who contributes then what would be incentive to hang around? Coping the satlover lines to other places is not such a problem either, the passwords change often so the lines never work for very long. But if it's obvious someone from here copys/pastes them elsewhere then they should (and are) banned.

I think it works great at the moment.

Sorry to bother you, i have read the threads on here about C-lines, i am not of technical back ground, i have used a c line from this site, but on the server there is different providers from different countries, would it be easier to break down the provider from each country, as not all providers work in every country, would that take the strain off the server?
remember again i aint tech, so u can tell me that is stupid if you want
