I think you are right. For a single tuner receiver the price is a bit high in my opinion. For £40 more you can have a Duo - which I'm still very happy with

or a CT ET9000HD with the same chipset as ultimo and more ram, well overpriced they now seem to think they are the ne DM of europe with that pricing structure

over priced receiver for what features it has, if i was to buy would wait for price to go down.

Its certainly better than some dreamboxes, it depends what model dreambox you want to compare it with.

When they go on sale and we know the price of the Ultimo then we can make a good comparison.

Happy owner of a Vu+ Duo, but very curious about the new Ultimo. Has anybody compared the two? Any significative video improvements?

Is it true that the clones are not recommended with a motorised dish setup? also is it true about some problems with the tuner?

The Clone Duo's have had PSU problems which related to some of them not having enough power for both a Diseqc motor and an LNB although no issues repoted on a fixed dish, I have not tested a Clone Uno so cannnot comment on these
