    Problems with channels

I have a solo clone and installed an lnb for astra 19 today (allready had 1 for hotbird).I had the hannibal list for astra and hotbird and rescanned .After that n*vacinema1 and sports1 don't open.Signal is 0,but this only happens to some channels.
Before the vu clone i had a dm500 with a similar problem.Nat geo (n*va) wouldn't open unless if i switched to a channel on astra and back to nat geo (nova-hotbird) again.
I hope you understand what i mean!I can't think what the problem could be!any ideas?

It could possibly be a Faulty Diseqc switch have you tried another one.

        Hi mate

I also believe that your problem is a faulty diseqc.
Buy a new one with better quality.

Finaly, I suggest you to check the cables you use.
Maybe, somewhere is cutted or is folded.

I fully agree with digicon that it should be a switch problem.
If you had the same problem with a different receiver, the diseqc switch is the only suspect.

            Re: Problems with channels

If it's the diseqc switch, you can simply test it.
Do you have another receiver to connect with the cable from the solo?

Or simply check the f-plugs/connections first.

                  hi,
can you swap or change your lnb? It could also be that your lnb has a frequency problem.
alternative maybe the lnb are not connected correctly.
Don't forget to do a new scan after any change.

                  regards
                  Clark

                    Re: Problems with channels

Thank you all for your replies.Manual scanning solved the problem for the channels on hotbird (i mostly care about n*va) , but it doesn't work for channels on astra. For example signal is 0 for sky sport1hd (germany) but sport2hd works fine.Maybe i'm doing something wrong about manual scann settings?

                      Re: Problems with channels

i also have some "dead" channels lets say there are n0va and n0va Cyprus but none of the N0va Cyprus are working. this does not mean i have a problem. with my receiver or connection etc. Also you may see on all services 1 channel with 3 names and only one of them will work for you. did you try it?

I don't mean the CY channels and also tried different names. But anyway problem solved with n0va channels.Tried the same solution for some channels on astra (skysportshd 1 and some cinema - germany) but it didn't work .It could be something wrong with the scann settings but i get all details from lyngsat :P a bit confused ....

Check again your settings in receiver's menu - lnb setup , to be sure that all is ok.
If you have an other lnb, you can try to change it to see if it works better and make a new scan only on astra 19E.
