Vu+ solo2 best mkv player

Hi, got my new solo2 now trying to set it up. I've got Asus rt-n66u router with external hdd plugged in. In solo2 I've got latest Vix image, I've installed mediaplayer plugin that I found in extensions, mounted hdd and launched it, but trying it yesterday froze picture couple of times. It can't be network as it is on 1gb cable onnection, cpu then?

Any oher plugins that I can try?

My mkv's play in the native media player, no plugin needed.
However I find movie browser to be a briiliant plugin for my mkv's and recorded content, it replicates the xbmc layout.

Thanks for the tips, guys. But did you had any freezes? What can cause them? I would think solo2 cpu should handle mkv's easily. My sony home cinema plays them fine so would thought solo2 would do the same.

the best image for your receiver is Black Hole with the latest version or VTI with the latest version.

I've tried to find some comparissons between different images but couldn't find any. Could you advise what are the pros and cons?

That's a personal choice, best way is to try out different mages by yourself, multiboot is helpfull tool when you try out to avoid reflashing images. case closed as that's not the topology this thread
