Whatching DiVx and AVI movies with VU+DUO

Hi, I have several movies in one external Hard Disk and I can't see them properly.
Connecting to the back USB nothing. The media player don't recognize it.
Conecting to the front USB it reads but with problems.
Sometimes the screen just turns black.
I have the OpenPli 2.1 image.

I would use one of the back USB ports. Have you mounted the external HDD in Devices Manager?

It won't play all avi files - depends on the codecs used to create the avi files.

My VU+DUO have only one back USB port.
No I didn't mount the external HDD and I can't find the Devices Manager option inside the menu. Maybe I am not doing the right way.

The Duo has 1 usb post on the front and 2 at the back

It depends on what image you have - on BlackHole press:

Blue -> Blue -> Devices Manager

Sorry, you are right, there are two usb at the back.
The image I have is OPENPLI 2.1 and I still cant' find Devices Manager option.

Never used Openpli so can't help with the image.

If you can telnet to the box then you could mount it manually:

mount /dev/sda1 /media/hdd

or

mount /dev/sda1 /media/usb
