    VU+DUO recording

Hi, I just bought a VU+DUO with internal HDD and it doesn't work well.

I have Black Hole 1.6.4 Image, Tunisiasat Addons Manager 3.0 and
    Suomipoek
When I press the red button it records ok but when I use EPG for schedule
recording programs, some times it works sometimes it doesn't.

I checked and double checked and couldn't find the reason.

Maybe I am not doing things properly or I need to install some other
    plugin or program.
    Can please anyone help me?

    Regards

what do you exactly want to do ... record a program in a definit time or what?
Did you try to share the HDD with the PC and read those file on it?

      Ok, let me explain:
For example, I am watching AXN channel, I go into the EPG
and I see that at 11PM there will be a program that I would
like to see, but I will not be home at that time.
So I press the green button (add timer) in order to record
that program so I can see it when I back home.
The clock icon will appear before the said program.
And this action will be stored since I checked the "Timer"
in the main Menu, and is there with the information "waiting".
After the recording it shows "done" in the same "Timer" menu,
but when I press the button "see recorded programs", it shows
me the content of the HDD and that program is also there with
the information of time, tittle, etç, but 0MB in the spot of
the size of the program, wich means that nothing is there to
      watch.
If I press play it goes immediately to "END".
      Did I make myself clear?
Is this information enough to enable you to understand the
problem and help me in anyway?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

      Regards

The Recordings screen doesn't show the size of the recording in MB as far as I remember.

It does show you the amount of free space on your HDD (at the bottom of the screen).

If it says "0 MB" that indicates that your HDD is full, which would explain why nothing is being recorded.

Thank you sonc, but that is not the problem. The HDD is not full. Please see the enclosed picture.
Please note the (O MB), witch is the size of the movie.

Ok, I see. That's not the standard Black Hole image Recordings screen.

I don't have the same plugin, but I don't have any problems recording to HDD. I don't think its an image problem. You could try uninstalling the plugin and see if that helps?

I think you mean uninstall the plugin Suomipoeka V1.0.1?
Ok, I will do it and see what happens.
In other hand can you tell me witch plugin you use?
I also have been told about one EasyMedia. Do youn known it?
              Regards

                Re: VU+DUO recording

I can't think of a reason why the timer doesn't work. Is the Duo in standby at the record time? You can set recordings to take priority :
Menu -> System -> Customize -> "Recordings always have priority" -> set to yes

I just use the standard BH image for Timer and Recording - see pic1.

For managing movies on my HDD and on my NAS, I use the Project Valerie plugin - see pic2. The latest version of this is in the VU Duo Addons section:

                  Re: VU+DUO recording

Hi, people, thanks all for your help.
After all, I found out that to get the results that I want it should be necessary to connect two different satelite dishes or install a twin lnb and connect both tuners, what I did and now it works ok.
                  So, problem solved.
                  Thanks again for your support.
