I wish you the best for your new box.

The best image, is what you like it :)

I suggest you to begin with openpli4 which is very simple and friendly to the user, but later you have to try all available images for your box and then to choose your favorite.

The procedure of flashing of your box is very easy and fast, so you don't have to worry about it.

Test them all and select the best image for you.

As about the plugins and CCcam, you have to install the latest cccam 2.3.0 direct from openpli server.

The plugins that I suggest you are:

    - TSpanel
    - TSmedia
    - subtitle player by DD
    - EPG import with Rytec XMLTV

Of course you can install any other plugin that you need , but remember that it's better to have only that you need.

Yes, you can install it in a usb stick but this is a procedure that I don't suggest you for a new box.

If you insist to do it, you have to install a plugin (I think is called meoboot) that allows you to install every image you want in a usb stick and give you the ability to select which image you want to boot.

After all, if you will install a new image you will never have problem with the warranty.

        Why you said that?

You are free to change the default image to everything you want without any problem with the warranty.

if you install the latest Blackhole image 2.1.2 into internal flash this image already has Meoboot installed by default.

                Try this

To turn off LCD on Standby

                Go to Plugins
                select LCD4Linux
press blue 3 times this will take you to MODE IDLE menu
press down to LCD display and turn it OFF
                Press Green to save...

                    Hi ferrarisat_2

You may wish to to take a look at a Vix image as an option. Loads of support and some really cool stuff available.

Well I can answer that one !! Open the plugin and in the settings, scroll down to the weather section. You will probably spot a city already entered… just select it and replace with the city of your choice

Thank you. I changed the image from OpenPLI to Blackhole 2.1.3. It's a fantastic image but the problem now is that i can not isnstall the cccam. where can i find the right cccam file and how can I install it. is it better to install OSCAM for CS as client?

I would go Oscam all the way now , Cccam is a bit outdated now and some packages only open with Oscam . It's a bit more complicated but it's a learning curve .

ok what is the best Oscam version? I find the Oscam version 4863 is this a good verrscion? Where can i find a description how to setup the Oscam and how to put in the Clines?

But I was convinced that oscam will be used if you will configure the decoder as Server and CCcam can be enough if you will configure it as client. Is this wrong?

You might consider using mgcam as well.
much better than cccam and quite simple to configure.
