How do you install mgcam onto a vu+ duo?

Depending on the image you have installed on your receiver, you can download it from the plugins/downloads.

If your image does not support free download of the cams, then you can install TSpanel or trr plugin.
Both of them gives you the ability to download everything you want from the biggest servers of all teams.

Select the image you have and find the latest version of mgcamd (1.38c)

Download Mgcam and ftp to /tmp.
Then install it in local extension on your duo.
Don't forget you need all your configs for it to work.

Currently using Openvix and haven't found these files so looking to upload TSpanel.

Will the rar file for TSpanel also go into /temp? I wasn't too sure if it would open a rar file I know a tar file is ok.

you need the ipk file. Unrar it and just ftp the ipk file to /tmp.

You can also use the VUcc from your pc and make the installation by using the IPK installer.
Find the IPK file of Tspanel or TRRplugin from this forum and make the installation from your pc.
After that, make a reboot and you are ready to use the plugin.

Find the section for cams and make sure that the file you will download (full mgcam) will be for your image.

When you finished the installation with mgcamd ,
use a ftp program as VUcc or DCC in order to create a file named newcamd.list
in the folder usr/keys, where you can add your line.

Then make a restart and select the mgcamd as active cam.
