    problem with remote controle vu

Hello, I have problems with my vu+ duo remote controle since the ok button came off.
I still have a dreambox remote I've jused on my dm7020, is it possible to program this remote so that it can be used on vu+ duo? If yes how please?
    Or other solution?

ps : does someone has spare remote for vu+ duo

I don't think you could use you dm remote for your vu+ as you'd need the correct code, which I don't think dm would have done.
You could get a universal remote such as the harmony, or a new vu+ remote from a sat shop or ebay.
    I don't think they're to expensive.

      Hi

      Do you remember this conversation?

I have a universal remote control from lidl and I use it for my dreambox.
It cost only 9€ and works fine for 2 years.

The only problem is that you have to find it available
and also the old remote control must be working in order to be copied with the learn function.

It's name is silvercrest, is black with dark blue lighting LCD display and almost all the buttons you need.

If the rubber pad is still conductive you can simply clean the pcb alcohol or other solvent.
If the pad is "gone" you can try to fix it by sticking a little piece of aluminium foil on it.
The hard part is to find the right kind of glue (I use clear silicone with acceptable results).

          You are right @gianni253

I have done this with my old dreambox remote control.
I was cleaning the pcb with alcohol one time a 3 months and was working ok, but after 2 years stopped forever.
Then I made this trick with aluminium foil and glue but I must say that it's a very very hard work.
Of course the RC is still working after 3 years.

Another solution that I have heard is a spesial metallic paint marker used for the back windows of the cars when the circuit is cutted.
It's very easy for use but difficult to find it at stores.
It's like a simple marker but the paint that it left permits the flow of electric charges.

Thank you for the tips, meanwhile I managed to repair the remote, just used a very little bit super glue (just a point), works like a sharm again. Will see for how long....

It's a silver based (colloidal) paint and, I would add that it's very expensive too.
Silver paint is not useful for our purpose because it's bad mechanical resistance ... it breaks in many pieces after a few key presses.

Glad to know you could fix it !
If your glue is good enough the fix will be "eternal" !
