hello, I have ordered a vu + duo in China and do not know which is the original or clones and I want to ask if it is possible to explain the original images go same clone or are the same for the two devices.

If you ordered from China the the Duo you receive will be a clone, it should have a sticker attached somewhere saying "V2.0" which will mean it has had the latest 3.1.1 kernel flashed to it so you are safe using Blackhole images up to 1.7.5 but none after and Vix images up to 2.4.105 Build but again none after that until ferrari patch the latest drivers for use

Yep, as Digicon said. If you've got it from china it will be a clone.
At the moment I don't think the price difference is big enough to warrant buying a clone.
You can get originals for £235 from Germany, and the price might drop further with the imminent release of the Duo2.

i would never buy vu+ duo clone, i have genuine vu+ duo,

dreambox dm800 clone is ok, becuase its the most popular clone box.

my mate want a box with a dual tuner which can record, pause play etc.

which one should I recommend? I was thinking VU+ duo but they are quite expensive. Is there a dreambox clone that has a dual tuner?

The vu+ solo2 is being released in a months time. 329 euros, and if it lives up to the hype, it will be the mutts nuts!

VU+ Solo runs the same operating system as Duo, Uno and Untimo. It has got only one fixed tuner. Its a bit ugly looking box but does the job. It was released in 2010 so almost 3 years old technology. Would go for Uno or Ultimo If can't wait for Solo2 or Duo2.

Solo2 is out next month and is a twin tuner. If they get the software side right, this and duo2 will blow everything else out the water.
Gigabit lan, transcoding functionality, 1300 mhz processor. ................
