Vu Duo Clone new user help

Have just got vu duo clone have install harddrive and latest vix image all went ok. set tuner a not configerd, tuner b simple and single satellite 28.2 did auto scan found about 700 channels . But when I try to salect them I get serice not found sid not found in pat, What am I doing wrong, do I have to install achannel list or a bouquet before I can see them.If so where do I find them and how do I install them. This is my first linux receiver and there seems to a lot to take. Any help would be appricated

Try tuner A configured and tuner B not configured.

Oh and make sure that lnb is connected to the correct tuner.

Mick after your sat scan reboot the box and the channels will be working i had same problem with vix image.

Ok have managed to get some channels working but others are missing no bbc channels for some reason

You would be wise to transfer a premade list over to your box thats already sorted for you to use far easier and will have every channel listed.

Can you recommend one and tell where i can get , bearing in mind that i want in the end to setup tuner a as multi sat and tuner b fixed to 28.2 astra once i get the hang of this box. There is quite a steep learning curve with Linux boxes

You can also look here in the Dreambox section, but make sure you only use an E2 file:

Which one is best depends on what sats you have and your own personal preference on how it looks.

if you would have had the Blackhole image on your duo you could have downloaded the latest settings just by pressing the Green Button then Yellow Button and enter settings download and just select which settings you want.

You can do this on vix as well but there server are rarely kept up to date with all the latest settings, Blackhole is a far superior image

Not if you are sure that you have the latest vix installed, did you install the image?

Have installed blackhole and have downloaded settings. Are there any other plugins or programes worth installing as stated new to linux receivers.

Cool tv guide, autotimer and merlin media player, plenty more depends what you want.
Remeber to try both the green button addons and the plugins extensions management in the main menu.
