    Smart card story

    I'll show you some old smartcard, that was used in past when pay tv has started to transmitt on european satellites.
    First one: Multichoice Holland, it was the first Irdeto card of Holland pay tv (Irdeto 1). Now it is Canal Digitaal.

      Old Irdeto 1 (blu) and Irdeto 2 (dark) for Stream, italian pay tv, it was sold to Sky and Tele+ was incorporated then.

        Here Tele+ smart cards it was first satellite italian pay tv. The blu one is Irdeto 1 the black one is Seca 1 it was distributed when Tele + was sold to Canal +, then has switched to Seca 2 and after 1 year has been incorporated by Stream and sold to Sky.

          One of first Irdeto pirate smartcard, it was sold in early 1999, was avaible for various packets also more then one for each card (max four packets into one card), at time those card was really expensives. It was called "Hornet" the number then was indicating number of packets enclosed into card. In this pic there is an Hornet 1.

            Now two DVB-T cards for Mediaset Premium the italian DVB-T bouquet.
            The darker one is the first card released it was Nagra 2 the other is actual Nagra 3 smartcard.

              And now to close I'll show you a really old and rare card.
              It was one of first Sky UK card, it was for analogic transmission coded in Videocrypt 1. It was used into early of 1996.
