yes, as said somewhere here some days ago: it still opens a few channels of eg CanalSat, Rai and ORF/Austriasat (but nothing in english) ; you need to be sure it's a real fun (processer AT90S8515A needed!). I use a CAS 3+ to program it (can also program CAMS) ; I know there exist cheaper card programmers (so no CAMS), but I don't know which ones.

why bother just for a few channels, most sat users have moved on from the dinosaur period.
