    5100

I use this one as a fta receiver or just as a tuner..
into the past i used an irdeto cam to transform it in an allcam rec.

but i am fed up of using cards...

could i use it for other and not just for a tuner/fta rec ??

    thanks

from what I know from this one (no RJ45 internet connection): the only option is to work with a cam and program the cam itself or the cards - not much open with this, think nothing in english (there may be some german/austrian, italian and french)

        hi

I suggest you keep it - I also have an old humax HDCI-2000 here, but prefer to keep it (one never knows for what it can be used: as fta, as radio, to install/search sats, ...) - about value: no idea, but think you will be disappointed ...

            hi

you won't find much anymore (perhaps some german-austrian - astra 1 - think this kind of discussions is not highly appreciated here, best to ****** for yourself - perhaps some cards/cams still work) - you can always use it as fta or tuner, so don't throw it away - only my opinion

                Hi MrEnrich,
in spite of the low cost, i believe it could be difficult to sell it.
Just for test purpose could be used or if you'll need to add a good CAM.
I've mine in the wine cellar!
                Best regards

                  Re: 5100

I used my ci5100 with a joker cam + funcard years ago.
in principle it should be possible to update keys for rai as it still use seca keys.
the weak point of this receiver is that it cannot tune hd channels,
as far as I know. it may be useful for monitoring signal quality or for fta channels.
                  bye,
                  Lionhe
