I have 4 times a defective power supply but you can repair that very easely!
There are some capacitors you have to replace and it's very cheap too and your back in business ;-)

So friends, repair the power supply of the receiver is easy, I did it in a short
the trick is to replace one component at a time so no confusion.
will connect the site where you can find all the instructions.
        good job

I have done this repair three times and you only have to look that you use 105° degree capacitors instead the 85° degree ones.

The 105° ones last much longer!!!!

Best sequence to start without changing all capacitors at one time?
            thanks

I use my original Humax5400 since 11 Years and he is still doing good work. Cardsharing should be possible with rs232 to laptop connection, but i've not yet tested. Some Softcamkeys work very well (e.g. for Austria) and this good old Receiver is still supported.

                The same do I.
Look in the internet with my nick and you will see how many jobs I have done for it.
By the way, I added a small fan for cooling capacitors and now everything is cool.

Hi, i'm also a humax 5400 owner. Great stb for it's time. I still use with very good results but i've not tried CS. It's much easier using stb with ethernet porta.
