How to set up the Newcamd server

    Hi,

Can someone please provide a sstep-by-step guide to do this on the spiderbox9000 receiver?
Sorry I am a newbie - so still learning and probably asking "dumb" questions?
    Cheers guys
    Thanks!

Re: How to set up the Newcamd server

    You can try this:

    1) Menu --> Accessory --> Network
You should see DARKMANIA V2 in the bottom right of your screen.

    2) Select Network - NEWCAMD Server Setup
"Type" should be set to "on"
Leave the port set to default 03567

    3) Go to User Setup

    4) Select one of the 10 client lines
    Turn it on.

    5) Enter a User Name and a Password
    6) Select Apply

You will also need to have your dyndns or no-ip account set up, e.g.

    spiderbox.dyndns.xx

Your friends / people you wish to share with set up their N-line with this info

    N: spiderbox.dyndns.xx 03567 User Pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

      Hi sonc,

      Thanks for this.
I have now got a dyndns account, but I need to port my router to my spiderbox, which will be fun.
This N-line - does it go on my box or the person I wish to share with?

Re: How to set up the Newcamd server

You give the N line to the person(s) you want to allow to access your server. They add it to their CCcam.cfg file.

          Sonc,

That's make sense - I will give it a go.
I honestly thought setting up a server is a very hard thing to do.
Anyway, thank you to everyone who has helped me in this matter - much appreciated.
