Skybox F3 problems...at wits end

Hello

I need help. I have a skybox f3 with "gift" and it is being an absolute pain in the backside.

It is skipping, scrambling and freezing to the point where I have to turn it off in sheer frustration.

It's connected to a plusnet router. I've heard so much about c lines and n lines but it all's double dutch to me.


Can anyone provide me with a walkthrough on how to sort this out (if possible).

Plus how the heck can I get Setanta Sports for 3PM kickoffs. It keeps scrambling at 2.30 PM

This is all to do with your so called gift, I have always advised people never to buy a box
with a gift always buy your line after you have had a chance to test it, the problem is your
gifts server is heavily oversubscribed and at peak times like the 3.00pm football kick off it is
even more over loaded therefore leading to scrambling of channel. There is chance that it
might also be your ISP and internet, you could talk to your ISP and suggest to them that
you are on line games fan and you need a better ping time but my opinion is that my first
thought is correct.

Hi mate

First off all you have to check if there is some problem with your network or with your router.
See your ping time in order to be sure that your network works correctly.
Then you can try a test c-line from a server to see if the problem is your "gift".
If the new line works well then your "gift" isn't good enough.

Like it has been said it sounds like a overloaded server try it at different times of the day and see if it works then or try server 3 a ping test would help as well the lower the better

Did you try it to return the decoder to the seller and buy an azbox?

How many lines do you use, these boxes have a problem when using lines with too many cards.

Hello

Delete all clines - gifts, or disable the network.

If there is no access to the network, the box will handle only fta channels

Works very well and is also a cheap box.

You don't have to do that, when scanning just select the FTA Only option, that's all.
