    I can't see them kicking up a fuss over it, only cost a couple quid anyway.
    My vu+ duo plug has a couple retaining screws and those pop out clips on the side, which is why I said just stick it back on.
    Hopefully they'll just do a straight swap of the receiver and send the same plug back.

      Hi scooterman, I have to say I am a little surprised in that you have not heard anything positive back as yet. It should not take very long to check out the unit and as the box was new to begin with I would personally hope to have been told that a new unit was on its way to me. As a lot of people on the alsat forum are always singing their praises about the high quality service they offer I would have expected more from them.

          Bro we sent it back again and this time they did receive and sign for it ,which they confirmed in the next phone call to them.
          What iam about to tell you next will shock you ,i still cant believe it myself,my friend phoned to ask what was happening with his box and this time they said that they had'nt received it ,so he got in contact with fedex who he uses all the time with his bisiness,they faxed him documentation with electronic signature signed for by Alsat.

          he phoned them back and a heated argument was started ,they blatantly stated there would be no replacement receiver as they dont have any due to problems with the last batch ,he got angry with them which led to them telling him to Quote f*** off,he did manage to speak to them again and gave them until next Wednesday to do the right thing by him or he will be asking trading standards to take up the case on his behalf.

          Now no receiver no money back and extra £42 to send it to them twice,because it had to come back to him the first time he had to pay for the return.

          Other angry customers have complained on their site ,guess what as soon as a mod see's the post its removed and they get banned .
          I still cant believe how badly we have been treated by them ,the thing only worked for three days.

          Sorry if it seems iam venting anger a bit but i would'nt like any other member or anyone to be treated in this way.

          Btw the £49 Eaglebox we got him is working fine and at least he is getting by with it for now,not the greatest box but it works.

            As you rightly said I am indeed shocked by the extremely poor response to your friends problems, I have read that there is a problem with supply at the moment but that does not excuse people being rude and denying that they had received the faulty unit back. I think that you are taking the correct approach with trading standards. Have you given any thought to my suggestion re contacting Darkman by PM to see if he can sort out all this nonsense ?.

              If you paid by cc or paypal why don't you put in a claim?
              Maybe get reimbursed for shipping costs as well.
              truly disgraceful treatment and I'll be sure never to buy anything from them.

                I think trading standards would be very interested in this but i would try one more time to see if you can get your money back very poor service from them

                  Jimi Hendrix sorted things out ,they are sending a brand new box out today and say it will be here tomorrow,fingers crossed .

                    That is indeed good news. They may find themselves with a lot of stock now that it looks like the "gift" has gone and not so many people eager to purchase one without it, although there have been suggestions that something may be sorted out.Thumbs up to Jimi.
