New cheap HD receiver for Card Sharing

It is named edision argus mini hd 2 in 1 ip combo.
I've found this receiver on some sites and it is really cheap, here in Italy is sold 149 euros, it is combo Dvb-S2 and Dvb-T Hd but I've seen in Germany is sold also with 2 Dvb-S2 tuners or Dvb-C. It isn't a linux based receiver but it has most sharing clients enclosed into firmware like cccam and newcamd, also has 2 card readers and 2 CI slots. For complete info and specifications you can take a look to this my post into other section:

Yep but those prices are in Pounds not in Euro, more the receiver I mentioned has also DVB-T tuner enclosed. Latest thing, Edision is distributed from Germany isn't a no name chinese receiver, it is important if you need service.

Ok guys, here is the question then: I'm on a tight budget, I should prolly buy a DVB-S2 receiver for my parents (of course for CS) but I don't wanna spend 200 bucks on a dreambox clone. Any cheap and actually good and solid linux hd reciever that I could buy for around 100 bucks?

When you have more questens about the reciver then ask.

To install the firmeware is very easy. You must only load the firmeware on a usb-stick and click instal in the menu.

its not a linux reciever so it may not be able to get newer versions of cams the boxes i listed are linux and most Chinese boxes are well suported
branded euro recievers ie octagon ect if you dont have the latest model your on your own oh and 149 euros is £124 so its a third more expensive
and most new tvs have built in digital terrestrial tuners
              coyi !

Ok, I've got a couple of questions:
                1. Do you actually own one?
                2. Where are the firmwares coming from? Can you use dreambox images?
                3. Which one do you recommend?

I just don't suggest chinese boxes for problems you can have if it will be broken, service don't exists so if you're unlucky and you'll have problems you can just throw it into trash then. I ever prefer to buy a box with an official distrubutor in Europe, but this is up to you.

Hi Bong, I don't dubt on your words, but you're speaking about UK, in my country (Italy) things are bit differents, we can also send back the box if is broken, but if isn't service in Europe you'll wait and wait many months before to have it back, this happens often with chinese boxes here, so is better in my country to buy a box from an european brand then a chinese. Clearly it is a lottery, you can buy a chinese box and never have problems, or to buy a famous brand and have problems after 2 days.. but here is involved the lucky!
