Are all those cheap receivers supporting CCcam? Does it work well or it's making problems? Most of cheap boxes I know are working fine with newcamd but not with CCcam :-(

cccam is problem bad newcamd no problem on skybox HDCP s9

Based on my experience, the Openbox S9 HD PVR and the S10 both work great with mgcamd and newcamd. They also support softcam.key and constant.cw keys (you just have to upgrade the firmware).

They go for under €100 now (in Italy). Every month there's like 2 new firmware releases. They're cheap and get good support.

You don't have to go for the cheapest box ever, but for a box which also has some support, or you waste your money.

In my opinion, if this receiver has good technical support (for updating images and other software) it will be good choice.

What is the Openbox price?

It works well with cccam protocol? It has new firmware releases frequently?

I'm really interested in finding a cheap HD receiver to work as a cccam client.

few facts about openbox
- there are two different receivers - real openbox hd s9 _http://опенбокс.рф/category/openbox-s9-pvr.html
and chineese openbox hd s9 _http://www.telesputnik.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=37513, they are absolutely different, real one costs about 450$ in russia, chineese is 100$ with shipping from china
- there is chineese openbox s10, there's no real openbox s10, s10 is same as s9, but smaller with less jacks on the back panel
- real and chineese receivers are both driven by linux
- they write on russian forums, chineese openbox s9 is same as solomend hd _http://www.pristavka.de/index.php?topic=5645.0
- they write on russian forums, chineese receivers works pretty fine, sometimes even better, then branded openbox, dreambox, and other

Are you sure that Chinese S9 (and S10) are running on Linux? And if so, are their firmwares same like original S9?

The new Edision Argus miniplus highspeed is a very good reciver for cardsharing.


With 1080P output. Mediaplayer and more.
