    Invisible Dishes

Hi. In my country, using satellite receivers is illegal. However people using dishes but police dismantling dishes sometimes! Then I want to know is there exist any invisible or little dishes to can hide it on roof? In the other hand in my country, EU satellite's signals is weak and I need an useful dish.

      Re: Invisible Dishes

Unfortunately receiving signals from european satellites will mean having a large dish, with the problem that it is hard to hide, there are some clear fibre-glass dishes available, but I have only ever seen them advertised in small size, one option might be to paint the dish to match a backround wall or vegetation to disguise it. I wish you luck with your endeavour.

        Re: Invisible Dishes

I think you should work not to find invisible dishes, but to hide normal ones.
A good idea may be to put it under a roof, but with view on satellite, so it can not be found, neither from the street, or from aerial photos.

Yes. I tried Hide my 90cm Steal dish by the textile covers but the problem is in the rainy weather and visibility by some curiosity of police.
any way the link by our friend kudok is very amazing. Now the problem is how can I find it here and is it useful for me about weak signals? I must work on it.Thanks a lot guys.keep helping. lol

              Hi sat-boy

A very good idea is the selfsat flat satellite antennas as already dear @kudok said.

I have read that in normal condition has very good results in europe but I don't know what happens in your country and if it will be big enough in order to receive the satellites you want.

What size of a normal offset dish do you need in order to get good signal in your country?

                Re: Invisible Dishes

Thank you kalpikos. You know, here, the normal dish is steel dish with 90 -80 cm diameter. I have 4 LNB on it with Hotbird on center and Eutelsat 7a - Badr 4/5/6 and Nilesat 7w. and some times I change it to Astra and Eurobird But even I don't have weak signals on these . However If I use separate Dish for each one, I will have all signals but then I need more space.
I liked the links that our friends gave me here but as I asked of some dish sellers here, they said that dishes not exist here and I must order those with double price!!! well illegal things have illegal price too! lol .

Try making one that is set into the ground with a few plants around no one will see it and you can put the arms and lnb on at night if it has to be discreat.
Just ****** there are plenty to view to give you a idea.

                    Re: Invisible Dishes

I think the sat chair is amazing. An alternative is the sqish satellite dish. It can either be disguise using a bespoke cover, embedded in a wall to look like a window. Or it can use many layers of plastic to refract the image of the wall / fence so that it appears almost invisible.
                    Really good luck

                      Hi sat-boy

Yes I know about the double prices.
It happens not only in your country but also in many others that have a restricted market.

I think that the best solution for you with the minimum cost is to take a dish and paint it with outdoor colors like camouflage in order for it to be invisible from distance.

You can take some ideas here:

but very, very important is that the colour of the varnish is dull/matt and not shiny/brilliant

That is a very bad situation, I wonder if looking into an IPTV receiver might be a better way for you to go, at least it would solve the Dish problem.

                              Re: Invisible Dishes

let me write here, as a great exemption, the words in german (maybe a kind soul will translate this in a technical correct english)

My lumberjack english is not so good to explain this in an engineer-english,
i don´t have an automatic translation program whom i trust to give this words in a correct output.

                              Thanks for understanding,
                              kindest regards
