Why I can't watch a channel in the morning?

Hi my friends, I don't know if this is the right place to post this.
    My problem is as follows.
I can tune bein sports hd but I can't watch this channel till the 6 p.m. more or less each day.
The rest of the day I have no signal in my receiver, but when sun goes down then I get signal and I can watch this channel.
Is very strange because when I get signal is so strong that I get no freeze image.
    Best regards.

Is the satellite on the horizon in your location?
Maybe the satellite is higher in the sky in the evening giving better signal?

Is Nilesat 7W I think is geostationary orbit. So I don't know why.
This sat previously have had never this problem. Now with the frecuencies changes only can tune in the afternoon.

        hi findeciclo

hmmm, sorry, really no explanation, just (if it can be a relieve) want to let you know you're apparently not alone - I've just read on another forum some (real experienced member) has the same problem - he mentioned that he has only reception in very good weather conditions, late at night, and early spring ... - also no explanation - also there seems to be a big difference in H and V polarisation - also seem some transponders are easier to receive than others -> perhaps the sd-channels can help you out?

Should I read more, I'll let you know.

        Best regards from Belgium

SD channels works OK all the day. HD channels only works at night. Strange.
          Thanks.

            hi

indeed, is confirmatin of what I've read too - even seems a bigger dish isn't a guarantee for a better reception (strange - as said: just read it)

very weak signals for me also, i presume findeciclo you mean the MENA beam, problems like this also occured in cyprus at a certain times of year, and after 9pm, that is when you could receive 28east there.
arsenal for premiership winners, i hope.
              take care my friend.

... well sat radio signal snr should vary along the day (!)

                snr( t ) , as

                low at day time
                higher at sunset

this empirical conclusion should be joined with

But there’s a second factor as well – the angle that the radio waves strike the ionosphere. For a given ionization level, the lowest maximum frequency that can be reflected occurs when the radio waves are directed straight up. In this case, they would be reflected right down, for local reception. As the radio waves strike the ionosphere at more shallow angles (as would be the case for waves that are going to reach the Earth further away), higher frequencies will be reflected.

Rain also is a nuisance factor for satellite reception

Yes my friend MENA beam, and my sat dish diameter 1.10 meters. Till now it was right but now, day no signal, night signal Ok.
                    Regards.

Thanks, this may be an explanation. I imagine broadcasting power is too low and in the morning there are some negative factors, at night it dissapear.

I know it my friend, but this is not my case. With sunny weather this is my problem day K.O., night O.K.

You're outside footprint zone. The signal is unstable and depends on the time and even seasons. In winter is the signal stronger.

                        try different hardware, especially lnbs.
It could be that youre lnb is damaged.
                        Please push thanks.

Re: Why I can't watch a channel in the morning?

                          I agree with @skytec

Europe is out of the footprint zone and the signal isn't strong enough.
That's make the signal to vary during the day and the seasons.
Late night the signal is stronger in the area that can't have good reception.

Also during the spring or summer the signal is better because the weather conditions are better.

Moreover, don't forget that they could have been made some minor changes in signal strength but this can affect to you in weak signal.

I suggest you to buy a new bigger dish in order to have better reception.

Ok I understand, so this situation is right. Signal level depends from many factors like weather, season, sat dish diameter.
My sat dish diameter was right last year but now I imagine signal strength is lower now than last year.
Anyway thanks to all of you.
                            Regards.
