I stand very strong LNB they do increase the signal from the standard 10-12% KU convectors There are great test all convectors This new "Black Panther" series White and "Allan top" series White 30mm diameter it can put different satellites at a distance of 2 degrees multifeed If interested please write to PM

They did a small factory for individuals to order
Case taken from any standard convector is not important
Inside the engineer puts designed irradiator is doing by hand
LNB Works great
But sometimes the top head like crows if not top rain protection

I use an Inverto Black It helps with the weaker signals but dont forget to focus it by moving it in and out on lnb holder which can give you extra 5% in signal strength.

Alps & Inverto Black are woth to mention here because they are good.
I have done some test with both a while ago and they are both on top of my list if you ask me

is realy important the lnb quality for satellite reception, or it plays a minor role in comparition with dish size?

If you want to receive weak signals need a larger dish. It is a basic rule.
LNB have almost the same parameters.

In my opinion, LNB shows problem when it not matched the qulity they are claiming , mostly cheap LNB are far behind the given specifications

In reality no LNB performs to its supposed specification, The manufactures give performance figures that are done under the best lab controlled conditions, usually at a particular frequency as an Lnb is not capable of linear gain right across the frequency range, these tests will also usually be done at a particular temperature. Professional quality Lnb's are more stable across a given range of frequencies and consequently cost a lot more. As has often been mentioned by myself and others the Inverto Black Ultra is a very good performer for not too much outlay.
