Just a Tip: make sure to make it waterproof. Self amulgamating tape is good for that but its very expensive. The modern way people use some kind of silicon jelly. I have heard some people using petrolium jelly too.

My last 10 metre roll of self-amalgamating tape was ordered off an internet auction site and cost 4 euros, so not so expensive anymore.
Plumbers PTFE tape is often suggested as an alternative but isn't that much cheaper than self-amalgamating tape.

            I use heat shrinking **** over f-connector.
Also the good way to fight moisture is to make cover over LNB, from a plastic bottle for example.

its a damn good tip: my sistem didn't work well because the moisture under the LNB... i discover it after a pointless war against dish, cable, box... -_-

i solved the problem with a "wall" of silicon jelly alla around the F connector under the LNB

                  the best for me,
                  polytetrafluoroethylene
you all know, the stuff plumbers use for water pipe seals
P.T.F.E. thread seal tape. works every time, costs very little
Do not send me iptv/cline requests,

                  I will not answer!

This is a good option too, to protect f connector against humidity and rain.

                    Best regards.

Don't forget each F connector let lose you a little bit strongness from the signal

Heres another tip to stop water ingress and repel moisture dip the copper tip of the 'F' connector in some silicone grease in the event moisture does break through the barrier already created.

Obviously, each joint does lose signal, but a good protection against short circuits and rain avoid signal loss.

                          Best regards.

You need to check these type of covers regularly as they tend to harden and split. I prefer to use self amalgamating tape.

Amalgamating tape also suffers over time and is not the best solution, all my installs have compression 'F' connectors rated to 2bar and dipped in silicone grease with a smear on the outside for added protection.

There is nothing better than a Compression F connector Full stop
