Who is the better dish motor?

I would like to know who is the best dish motor?
If you have got anyone of this devices, please tell us your experience.
I know Illussion MotSat 3 because I have had one time before.
For me is very difficult to install it, pointing, elevation, azimuth....
Can you tell us something more.....?

Well there are all kinds of Motors in the Market....but if we just keep to the Diseqc Motors there are a few which are quite good.

There is the Technomate TM 2600 which has zero play as regards backlash and also the new Alsat Led Darkmotor with its intelligent Led Display. Both these Motors are heavy duty incorporating Metal Gears.

My personal experience is with STAB Motors and Moteck SG 2100

The Stab 90 Motor can take up to a 95 cm Dish and is very accurate as regards going to the correct Sat posn in fact I would say the best I have ever seen.
There are also Stab 1.2 Motors which also are quite good as regard accuracy but these Motors suffer from Back lash (play) and also are much slower than other Motors.

The Moteck SG 2100 can be modeled either with plastic gears or metal gears naturally one must ask for the metal gear Model. This Motor can take up to a 1.2 meter Dish provided that it’s made of Aluminum and has a protective wall to act as a wind breaker.

have experiences with the sg 2100 in combination with a kathrein cas 90.
I cant recomend it. The materials are little bit buggy (rust) and it needs some time to adjust it nearly perfect.
Would recomend a stronger one

technomate tm 2600 all metal drive motor because Metal gears withstand high wind - non-metal are simply nylon gears!!

I agree with you perfectly as regards nylon gears with Diseqc Motors, but It is interesting to note that the 36V 15Kg 1224 Jaeger motor that has been used on 1.2m and 1.5m dishes for the past 15 years (with total reliability) uses nylon gears!

As regards Diseqc Motors, that is Technomate, Moteck, Stab, Etc, Etc its better to have metal gears.

OK, I imagine that resistence against sunny, windy, and rainny is worst than metal DiseqC motors.
Prize more expensive, but much more quality than plastic cover motors.

I have experiences with stab 100 and Technomate 2600.
The second is by far better than stab, with metal gears too and faster than a Stab anytime.

I'm using in two location SAT motor using 100 STAB and 90 STAB.
Everything perfect, usals it's very good, even the mounting.
The first motor has been running form three years.
Documentation also good.
