    Re: Dark Motor

Are you speaking about an actuactor, az/el motor or simply DiseqC motor?

I've used a Technomate 2100 for the last few years without any complaints. The 2300 is out now also that has a new metal reinforced gearing system, or the 2600 is also available that is faster and stronger still.

I've STAB motor and it works well from 1 year, it has DiseqC 1.2 and more comfortable Usals protocol too. It is little more expensive then other brands but is builded very well all in metal.

Thx Vimmers for putting us back on topic.

I actually have a 1m setup with SG-2100A at the moment so i'll prob just try a 1.2m dish on the SG-2100A for now. I want to upgrade for better signal from 30W.

Why waste money if not needed?

                        Re: Dark Motor

the dark motor seems to be a good choice. im using the sg2100 ond a cas90 kathrein without probs for about 10 years.

The specifications of the dark motor are very good.
                        Please push thanks.

I do not know about dark motor because I never had. But since you mentioned the SG-2100A,
I can tell you that I installed a Gibertini 1.2 Dish on it and it can take it, (you have to insert another set of Brackets inside the Dish'ones to make up for the Distance between the motor's **** and the Dish) infact I could span the Satellite Ark from 45 W to 75 E .I would recomend some sort of shelter from the wind but otherwise it was Ok. Just to let you know as well I have a Stab 120 Motor having a another Dish of 1.2 and it too can drive the Dish quite well but this type of Motor is slow (purposely done like that because of the weight it is expected to carry) I had this for already 3 years without any problem except some moderate backlash.

It's o.k choice but look into jaguar before you buy.
These days they are very cheap so not much of a risk !
