Megasat 800 HD

Hi everyone.
I would like to introduce the Megasat 800 HD HDTV DVB-S receiver. It costs approx. 100€ and with enhanced firmware can connect to Newcamd and CCCam Servers. I got one up and running at home with a newcamd-server. For the price the receiver is okay. Channels are switched very fast, even HD. But there is a lack of GUI design.

thats correct. you cannot change any system related settings with the second one so you can safely give it to your girlfriend
(if she isn`t technically skilled) she told me that she has never seen a remote with so little buttons on it

this one really looks like a clone (or the megasat is a clone).
i`m not able to speak turkish but i found that tag on the site: "New Cam Server Destekli". maybe they`ve already implementet a newcamd server on this one?!

if they are same my guess is that they bought it from same chinese producer and put their brand logo on it. it looks like a new receiver for the market. they started to sell it last summer. it is a "Ali 3602 chipset" based receiver. and it is written on the web that it was first only newcam supported and then they added it cccam support. a few guys mention about restart and freezing problems.

yeah thats true. from time to time it freezes with cccam.
newcamd is working quite good.
