I'm another with ALPS LNB - still working after 6 years in extreme hot conditions and no problems. More signal gived me the new DM800HD clone ALPS M tunner - not the LNB... and that is a fact. Not always the cheap is bad...

Just waiting for delivery of Inverto Black Ultra.
From which I have heard good reports about.

Will be upgrading from a SMart Titanium 0.2db.

Anyone done a similar swap, and what were the results like?

After upgrading from SMart Titanium to a Inverto Black Ultra it hasn't made any difference to the signal quality at all.

So was a nit disappointed.

Will probably need to do a bit of adjusting, but there wasn't any real gains at all.

If you want more signal get a bigger dish!

You will need to adjust it slightly i have seen some big gains over other cheap 0.1db quoted lnb's on installs, When exchanged for the Black ultra sometimes up to a good 10-15% snr improvement.

Bear with it and just keep tweaking especially as the ultra has the longer neck than the Smart titanium most gain is brought upon by adjusting the focal point with the neck part of the Ultra.

Inverto SINGLE - Black Ultra 0.1 improved the SGN by 10 - 15 %

I think that the best lnb is biger dish
I use Inverto , and some lnb from lidl's =5E and i can't see any diference

I think a lot of you on here that are not seeing any gain by switching to the black ultra should also have a look at your cable quality, I have been to sort out lots of installs where the owner has used cheap grade cable which turns out to have an aluminium copper coated core and they lost a lot of SNR due to cable alone.

if you change the LNB then at least make sure your other components can keep up with the rest of your system and are of a good quality.

I use more than 50m cheap cable and i'm sure that the losses are very high, and maybe of this i can't see any difference between lnb
I think that it's time to change my cables in order to improve the recetpion

the brand BEST is a very good LNB and i am telling you from my personal experience as from when i installed it i am experiencing better signal

For me - Inverto ultra black - especially for TP with critical signal and rainy weather conditions.

Inverto Single or Dual - Black Ultra 0.2 db is very good and allows for clearing the weaker transponder.
It does not make any difference on larger dishes that have the maximum signals.

It has the additional advantage of delivering images on cloudy or rainy days because of its sensitivity.

most lnbs very good these days, im using tech-no-mate gold, low noise level=0.1
most are the same noise level, but do people who say this or that are the best do there own tests on them, or money issue thinking the dearer the better, just like im using bog standard hdmi cable, no different to so called gold=expensive ones.
