    How to Use a Sat Buddy

    Get the strongest signal possible from your satellite dish by using the Sat Buddy when you direct it. Powered by the satellite receiver box, you do not have to plug the Sat Buddy into an outlet during use. Standing on the roof to direct a satellite dish for the strongest signal take less time when you use the auditory signal from the Sat Buddy, which increases in frequency until it becomes stable. Then you'll know, without having to guess, that your dish will provide you with the clearest programing possible. Anytime you need to reset your dish, bring out your Sat Buddy to help make the task simpler.

    Things You'll Need:
    * Satellite dish
    * Sat Buddy
    * 2 coaxial cables
    * Satellite dish receiver/setup box
    * Satellite dish Low Noise Block amplifier (LNB)

    Instructions

    1.Mount your satellite dish according to the manufacturer's instructions.

    2.Screw the end of one coaxial cable to the bottom of the Sat Buddy and attach the other end to the satellite dish receiver/setup box.

    3.Connect the other cable to the top of the Sat Buddy and the satellite Low Noise Block amplifier, which acts to convert the signal from the dish to one low enough for the receiver box to use.

    4.Press the "On" button twice to start the auditory signal.

    5.Move the satellite dish back and forth, until you hear a steady tone from the Sat Buddy indicating that the dish is receiving the strongest signal.

    6.Unscrew the coaxial cables from the Sat Buddy, the LNB and the setup box. Replace the two cables with one of the coaxial cables connected directly from the LNB to the satellite receiver box.
