    Dual feed and dish 60

    Hi,
I'd like to know your opinion about to add a second LNB to may dish 60cm.
    It would be possible?
I look forward to receiving your replay

Re: Dual feed and dish 60

Possible yes, but, most ready made dual feed adapters are made for 80Cm.Dishes
because the Lnb's are not at the centre of the focal point, you need the extra surface.
You could try fabricating some mount to sit either side of your current setup, depending on where your selected Sat is, ie East or West from your site, and then, point the dish so that the weaker Satellite you are trying to get would be on the best signal. The mount would need to have some means of sliding the Lnb holder to focus the second Lnb.

Anyway I am not sure if the gain of this modified little dish will be enough for a correct use

        Thanks guis,
I've an idea, I've OPTIMUSS Underlide 3 in 1 dec. As you know this is a German manifacture, a solution could be put 19 east on the centre of the dish and put 13east beside..
I look forward to receive your replay

          Hello

Maybe you can do what you want by using thin LNB of 2.5 or 3cm.
Whaever, the result will be not good, because of your small dish.
My opinion is that you will lose many transporters.

It's better to get a bigger dish (80cm at least) and then to make some experiments with multifeed projects.

Second lnb on 60cm means ~50cm in focus.
            If that's enough, it's enough.

I think that you already have problems with that little dish, see the other thread:

So, not wise to stress more your receiving system.

Re: Dual feed and dish 60

Personally I would go for a 1Mtr dish, especially as there is already a problem receiving
                some transponders. I used such a setup for years,with 3 fixed Lnb's on 13E, 19E and 28E.

                regards mobley3

                  hi buiacco

Did you take a look at one of those visiosats? I still use mine now and then (Astra 1, 2, 3 and Hotbird).

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. I just wrote that I'm still satisfied with my visiosat dish with 4 lnb's.

Pan, he thought you had a video URL as you said 'have you take a look' in your answer.
Buiacco just do a search with search engine on the internet about visiosat and tripple lnb.

                          hello,
as i know the better way is to focus in the middle 13 hotbird and byside astra 19,2 thats the way i do this. usally you will receive mostly channels, but with bad weather conditions you will be disapointed more or less. one more point use a good lnb.

Thanks trekstore, could you write down how you managed to have two lnbs on a small dish 60? I'd appreciate very much.
