    hi sideralgr

Can't tell from experience (greece is a bit too far from here), but to have an idea check the footprint on eg satbeams - to be really sure, perhaps some greek people may help you out here.

hotbird and astra are for sure and you dont even need to go motorized, you can do it with the dual lnb. hellas sat and turk sat must be also available. what channels are you aiming?

you can get astra turksat hotbird and hellsasat for sure, i am getting them in bulgaria and in turkey both. my advice is for you to stick to astra because the servers here decrypt all of the packages meanwhile on hellsasat some of the packages are using bulcrypt.

In south of Italy you can get Nilesat with 90-100 cm so I think also in Greece

From a friend (not own experiece):

            Hotbird, no problem.
Astra with 80cm possible in greece so with 100cm no problem!

It's surely an interresting test which satellites can be received there.

One thing, when i was trying to get astra i spend around an hour to get the signal. no such problems with hotbird or hellasat or turksat

                Hi,
In my experiece I believe you could have problem with north Europe satellites, because of the footprint is just touched in the edge.
Try to check footprint in 'h**p://en.kingofsat.net/beams.php?s=52'
I hope don't have do nothing wrong posting this address.
                Best regards.

I think that you will not have any problem to receive a lot of channels from NSS 12 (57°E) to Hispasat (30°W).

I suggest you to try from 39°E Hellassat to Hispasat 30°W.
You will get almost all satellites but not all channels.

For same difficult satellites e.g. Astra 28.2°E you need more than 1.80 m dish in order to get BBC channels.

I believe that your 1.00m dish is ok for your country but I would prefer a 1.20m for better results.

From that region in Europe it would be best to get a 2metre dish to guarantee you the chance to get all the satellites if you are going to make the effort. Also, if you get a box that has a sensitive tuner like the TM5402HD it will give you the possible setup you could have. The only better setup is one with a dish the size of a rooftop - and they do exist!
