    1 satellite two receivers

basically I've got a sky box m3 and i also have a sly+ HD box i want to use both boxes but only have one dish I've looked on the internet and they suggested splitters however all the splitters I've seen only have single cable in and two out wheres the sly box and m3 both requires two satellite cables
    hope you can help

If you use a splitter, you can only watch the same polarity channels on both receivers at the same time, eg Horizontal on both or vertical.
I would suggest to get a twin LNB and there are some shot gun twin cable in single core, looks like one cable. All set and no complaints about "no signal".

It has been discussed before in another thread.

        With twin LNB: V/V--Yes, V/H--Yes
        With Splitter: V/V--Yes, V/H--NO
Keep in mind that CCcam has nothing to do with the channel's polarity.
you cant use one line in two receivers at the same time.
If its a Satlover's line. You might get banned.

dont forget that both polarizations are divided to low and high band too
so you cant watch through loop hi V, when on first receiver is tuned low V for example.

Why don't you get a twin lnb? That should solve your problems.

              hi

I also think twin lnb is the best option - see also: _http://www.satlover.eu/forum/satellite-discussion-english/44222-can-i-switch-between-two-receivers-on-one-dish.html
