Ground mount

Hi All.
I want to move my 1.2m dish from wall to ground.

I'm looking at a small patch of soil in the corner of the garden that has a good view of the major sats.

Given that it's going to soil, what kind of mount should I use that's "easy" to get vertical and stay that way?

I thought maybe a long enough pole deeply embedded in concrete and patience to get it dead true?

Thoughts?

A fully welded heavy gauge steel construction which uses 3 adjustable feet.
(and 3 optional additional feet). It can easily be adjusted for "plumb" with a spanner.

No problem mate i had a pole mounted in the ground years ago for heavy actuator operated dish.
Couple of bags of post crete dig your hole get it sitting plumb by jamming in bricks /big stones ,check with spirit level,then pour in the crete ,1 hour later you can mount dish.jobs a good one.

just a tip McrRed.

i use a scaffold pole for mount, with 2 shorter pieces conected with 2 right angle scaffold pole brackets, plenty of adjustments using this type of bracket.
easy to remove and remount when going away on hols etc.
reconected mine in seconds recently.

Thanks for that. Great tips.

With it being on soil and not flags or concrete I didn't think the adjustable feet design would work. Glad to hear good old scaffolding poles can do the job (given that these mounts are selling for a ton when manufactured!)

I have my dish in the garden on a scaffolding pole .
And i also have a half wall about 3 feet high where i put a bracket to hold it in place and just dug it in the ground .
But i had movement when the wind was strong so i dug it back up and filled with concrete , made sure it's plumb , wedge it with a few pieces of wood until it dried up . Seems to be very stable now .
You could always build a half wall for more strenght , not a very hard task ...
