    Howto Best video quality with Black Hole images

    Howto Best video quality with Black Hole images

    This is both for DM800 and DM8000
    After many and many tests this is my final conclusion about to have the maximum image quality in DM8xx with SD and HD channels.
    This is only my opinion and the best result in SD & HD channels quality image with my DM800 and DM8000 and my tv.
    But i suggest to you to test because it is for me the best configuration.

    PREAMBLE:

    First of all we have to consider that progressive mode is better than interlaced mode.
    The best default setting is 720p and not 1080i. We will use autoresolution plugin to have 1080i on the HD channels that use that resolution, but the default config have to be in progressive mode to have a best stable image in vertical refresh, in scrolling titles and in image fluidity.
    Second of all we have to consider that to have a good image quality in SD channels we have to use the autoresolution plugin to force the dreambox to use resolution of 576p on SD channels that is the best way to have a good image quality. We will try to force the 576 interlaced mode to work in 576 progressive mode because this is the best result.

    PROCEDURE:
    Because the autoresolution plugin needed an enigma restart to have the correct default value we have to:

    1) go in menu -> setup -> system -> av/settings
    use the settings like in shot n.1 and save
    2) restart enigma2
    3) go in menu -> setup -> system -> autoresolution
    use the settings like in shot n.2 and save
    4) restart enigma2 and enjoy !!
