Re: how can use to satellite in one dish

Well for starters you will need a motorised dish so you can alternate between the two satellites otherwise its impossible to have both satellites with a stationary dish...If you do have a motor dish, you need to set it up properly following the instruction manual and guides... then scan the satellites in.

Edit: I was not aware the satellites where next to each other, in that case the post below is correct to follow.

if those satellites are close you can use this kind of setup.

two lnb and multiswitch 2-1. dual lnb and 4-2 multiswitch if you want tho use two receivers.

you don't need motor you will receive channels from both satellites.

you can setup 3 or more sattelites this way for example astra, w2 and hotbird can be wathed this way without problem.

I think a 1m20 dish will give a good reception. Didn't you mean atlantic bird 3 on 5W?
That's the closest to nilesat on 7W. In that case you can use double lnb as on the picture in kursum1 his mail. Myself I use a motorised dish (1m20) and I have enough signal on both satelites in Belgium (better signal on 5W than 7W). Your position and if you have open place around or many buildings, trees, etc... has influence to.
        good luck

          it depend your area
if you are in euro, the main direction of your dish is nilesat and with phton you can receive both sats with a dish

i wouldnt recomment the two lnbs in one method posted by kursum1. i`ve made bad experience with this kind of lnb.
i cannot handle to receive both sattelites at a adequate level. if it is raining outside the satteltite with the lower level has no signal

First of all change the topic )

You named it "how can use to satellite in one dish" instead of "how can use two satellite in one dish"

It will be better for search results.

Secondly i think os2222 is right, you'll have problems with signal in that configuration

It is pretty impossible to put two LNBs with just two degrees separation.
You need more like 5/6 degrees separation such as Hotbird 13East and Astra 19.2East.
In the past I tried Astra2 Sky UK 28 East and Arabsat 26 East but I could not get a signal for both Satellites, since they are two close to each other.

Why two degrees? there are 5,5° between Atlantic Bird 1 (12.5°W) and Nilesat 7°W.
I think is possible with two Lnb to realize this, but recommend if you live in EU, Dish bigger than 80cm.

This depends on the footprints of the satellites as 19E, 13E works well from the UK with this type of LNB.

If you are going to use the two lnb method then you need to make sure your sat receiver can handle them.

Make sure that the LNB(s) you choose has sufficient outputs for your receiver(s)"nilsat and atlantic bird 1" You can not "split" the LNB cable because each receiver input satellite signal, you will need to get the proper equipment it depend on your area.
                          helped use "Thanks"

you could try the Triax kit which works well and can even be modified to give 3 degree spacing.
