Man of the House

Tommy Lee Jones plays Roland Sharp, a no nonsense Texas Ranger, who along with his partner Maggie Swanson are hot on the trail of Morgan Ball, a fugitive crime boss. With the assistance of an FBI agent, and some involuntary information from crooked minister Percy Stevens, Roland determines the whereabouts of Morgan, resulting in a violent shootout that claims the life of Roland’s partner Swanson. Morgan’s accomplice, unbeknownst to Roland, is FBI agent Eddie Zaine, who is present during the killing but claims no knowledge of the assailant – a statement that is later revealed to be false. Luckily, however, a group of ***y University of Texas cheerleaders witnessed the attack from their locker room window. While this is good news for Roland, it is bad news for the cheerleaders, who Morgan and Zaine now intend to murder. To protect the girls Roland goes undercover as their assistant cheerleading coach, subsequently moving into their sorority house to guard over them. Stereotypically ditsy, the girls are unhappy with Roland’s strict demands especially when he seizes their cell phones, commands them to wear less revealing clothes and instates a curfew, effectively putting them under house arrest and temporarily destroying their ever-important social lives. Of course the girls manage to evade Roland’s tactics, though not without consequence: they soon discover that their lives are truly in danger, and Roland is not merely trying to ruin their fun. After their van is blown up, nearly killing the cheerleading squad, the ranger starts bonding with the ladies, enjoying a facial, manicure, and even volunteering to purchase feminine products for them while shopping for groceries. Meanwhile Barb develops a crush on Roland, though he is more interested in hooking up with her English teacher, Molly, and the girls are eager to assist. The picture’s soundtrack features quintessential sports anthems by the likes of 2 Unlimited and C+C Music Factory, in addition to senseless favorites such as Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too ***y” and Abba’s “Dancing Queen.” “Man of the House” is rated PG-13 for violence, ***ual content, crude humor and a drug reference.

Jay and Ida, on the other hand, still struggle to find their purposes in life. Ida is an aspiring photographer, but spends more time sleeping with strange men than snapping pictures. Jay weaves in and out of mental institutions, and literally steals from the rich to give to the poor. Morrie is forced to supervise Jay after authorities find him laying in the middle of a highway, attempting to commit suicide. With Jay's homecoming Ida quickly follows, much to the chagrin of Betty who is already overwhelmed by the former's presence. Both Morrie and his wife are incredibly image conscious, walking each step carefully in front of university bigwig neighbor and colleague, Paul (Gary Wilmes). Paul's good (or bad) word to school administration will determine whether or not Morrie receives tenure, and subsequently if Betty can begin her dream family with financial security. For years Morrie has successfully kept his turbulent past and dysfunctional siblings separate from his professional life. With his brother and sister present 24 hours a day however, the professor may lose his cool and an impeccable reputation in the process. Despite Jay and Ida being a burden, Morrie does truly love both -- and in the end struggles for their well being not just his own. Rating: Rated R due to explicit language, some ***uality, and brief drug use.

A detective called Carmine advises Nat to get someone who knows the city to help her find her father Douglas because he has not been missing long enough for Carmine to file a missing persons report. On the next day, Nat heads out to a dock, where she finds Chance, A guy who had helped her once before. Chance is then told that he cannot go on any more missions until he pays the union $217, and he has a week to come up with the money. Chance tells Nat that he'll help her find Doug in exchange for $217. Nat agrees to the deal, With Chance's help, Nat discovers that her father Douglas was murdered. As it turns out, former mercenary Emil Fouchon and his right hand man Pic Van Cleaf have been recruiting homeless combat veterans for the amusement of their clients -- bored, rich tycoons who are willing to pay big money for the rush of hunting and killing human prey. And now, Chance and Nat are their newest targets.

He sees a lot further than 2 minutes at one point and it involves his future girlfriend. Knowing the location of their meeting, he goes there every day with hopes that it is going to be the day she walks into his life. Cris has finally met Liz Cooper, a gorgeous schoolteacher who gets more involved in this international intrigue than she had any intention to. As the FBI close onto his location though, so do the terrorists who also have information of his gift and want him dead. Unfortunately, Cris' girlfriend is captured by the terrorists and he has to aid the FBI in finding them both after all, before it is too late. The gross box office revenues in the US amounted to US 18 million, while total worldwide revenues reached US 68 million. "Next" won COLA Award for Location Professional of the Year (Liz Matthews), and was nominated for Razzie Award for Worst Actor (Nicolas Cage) and Worst Supporting Actress (Jessica Biel) in 2008, and Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress: Horror/Thriller (Jessica Biel) in 2007. This film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violent action, and some language.
