things have changed for good.what happens with hd will be also applied with sd.

at the moment they are doing tests with different channels on new updated system so some channels come and go .

for example nsports 7 has changed and is not accessible.

as for sources all greek sat forums have a lot of info about it.

when free cards abolishment will be concluded only official receivers will be working .

also some sd channels will be closed and left only hd versions .

mpeg4 will be used for all transponders as wrote before.

Does anyone have any news on the Digea package on 3east and how that relates to n0va in particular? I am wondering since the channels are so well encrypted on hotbird, why do Digea broadcast them on a different satellite? Will they be affected by the supposed changes in August? And do you have any greek forum posts that I can read about all of this?

3E is a lot more difficult to get for lots of people, probably one of the reasons.

Digea only broadcasts via 3E the six free-to-air Greek channels. Not the Nova subscriber's-only channels (including nova-cinema channels, nova sports1-7, and HD)

No. Digea is expected to be very very "stable" in terms of BISS Keys...

                  dear odysseas1991

just to add to all good answers that rykios gave.

do not mix digea 3 east with nova 13 east

3 east is a technical distribution of major channels for feeding nationwide network of multiplex for terrestrial digital transmission.

13 east is commercial direct to home transmission.

so it is independent to policy used for broadcasting.

                      it is unfortunately.

actually some channels open from time to time for a while that is because few cards are left and not enough to handle it anymore.

this is serious because if n0va really find a way to cut cs out this is the begging of the end for all other providers.

I don't understand, how can some cards work and others not work?

The thing is Kostis, they found a way to stop it a while ago when they launched their HD channels and since then not many providers have copied for various reasons. I think maybe now N0va are changing their strategy to get more money by forcing people to upgrade equipment (pairing cards to boxes) changing freqs, and even to dvb2 etc which requires a HD box!

is just a matter of when they will be paired as you wrote.

majority is already off some still maybe for a few days or so will follow.
