The leading Ukrainian cable operator Volia plans to increase the number of sports channels it offers its subscribers by 20% this year.
The news was given by Eric Franke, the company’s CEO, in an announcement about the new Ukrainian channel Hockey, which has been added to Volia’s offer in Kiev and will soon also become available in other locations.
Earlier this week (January 23) Volia said it has exclusive distribution rights for the HD version of the channel Futbol.
Operated by Media Group Ukraine, it will make its debut in time for Euro 2012 this summer.
