Telefónica O2 is no longer believed to be the operator of the fourth DTT multiplex in the Czech Republic.
According to E15, it is now in the hands of Digital Broadcasting, which is controlled by the media entrepreneur Radim Parizek and whose other interests include several radio stations, with no money having apparently changed hands between the two parties.
The fourth multiplex has been much slower to develop the first three and currently broadcasts the channels CT1, Nova HD and music channel TV Ocko.
It is only available in the cities of Prague, Brno and Ostrava, reaching 22.7% of the population.
This compares to the 99.8% reach of the second multiplex, which includes the channels TV Nova and Prima TV in its offer.
Any transfer of the fourth multiplex will still have to be approved by the Czech Telecommunications Office (CTU).
Parizek has plans to launch a kids channel named Pohoda.
